lift questions
ok guys im sorta new to this forum. My 98 xj has air shocks in the back so its almost if i have around 2 inches of lift in the back but not the front.Presently i dont want to spend much money but dont want to go cheap. I have heard that leveling kits are bad in the long run and since its my dd i dont want to have to fix it later when i could have just did it right the first time. I guess my question is whats a easy way to add around 2 inches of lift just on the front. I was thinking of different coils but i dont know where to start.

Coil spacers or new springs up front. Ditch the air shocks in the rear and throw some lift shackles in it. Shocks shouldn't lift the vehicle, they shocks themselves and the mounts are not made to support the weight of any vehicle, they are only there to help control the movement of the suspension.

Some leveling kits are bad, ie an Add-a-Leaf type. Front spacers are available for approx $30 a set and can be found in sizes from 1/2 to 3". I would NOT stack spacers, but you can. In the rear longer shackle or relocation brackets will be the easiest way to get 0-2" of lift.. You want more than 2" go with NEW leaf pack or a Bastard pack, NOT an Add-a-Leaf kit.
