Lift Question Add on?? HELP
4.10's for 31's What are you using to get those figures?
I have 31's on mine with the 3.55 and still have the power to roast the tires whenever I want. Of course it's a 5 speed, with an auto perhaps there's not enough power.

Am i going to have to buy new shocks if i do this add on? i might just go with one inch but still thinking about 2 inches. i currently have the skyjacker 3 inch kit with full packs in the rear. Do i need to get relocation brackets for my lower control arms? or longer lower control arms?
what do you guys recommend for lift height and other things i need to buy besides the spacers and shackles?

Personally, I would go with adjustable lower control arm so you can dial in the ride you want, yea a bit more expensive, but you can tune you ride.
As far as shocks, you can use your current shocks, but if you flex it you might pop a shock, or the shocks will act as limiting straps for your flex. Use your current ones for a few months, and save up for the shocks you want. Just don't go flexing it too much.

Going from a 3" to a 5.5" lift I recommend you get adjustable upper and lower control arms. I started with a 4.5" lift with just aftermarket fixed lower control arms. I added a 1 3/4" spacer. my tires are too close to the rear of the wheel well, now, my tires are wearing FAST and my jeep acts wierd while turning. You will need to get an adjustable track bar. Don't go cheap on your tracj bar. That thing is so important to the safe operation of your XJ. I guess long story short is don't do what I did trying to save a buck. Do it right and your rig will ride good on the road and be a 4wheeling beast.
