3.5" or over requires SYE or TC Drop.

Also you would need to regear for those tires.

If your going to run 33 x 14.5 boggers, you're going to need a 6" lift. Out of the past 5 lifts I have looked at this week in that category, every one came with a TC drop.

do you plan on trimming your fenders? because tires that wide are gonna be unstuffable ( wont go in the wheel well) and if you dont get wheels with the right backspacing then they're gonna hit your LCA's (lower control arms) For those tires i would get like a 4.5-5.5 inch lift. You're gonna run into some problems with the tires hitting the fender though if they stick out like my 31s (i have alot of offset) just because the tires are gonna be so wide

I have 4.5in of lift on my 96 and only had to do a tc drop and nothing else.I have stock drive shafts and LCAs and no SYE and have had no issues thus far. With 33x14.50s you will need to regear though.Unless you like having Geo Metro power. If you have the D-35 then you will probly break the axle with that big of tire.

i am running a 4.5 inch lift with 35x12.50 tires. i just cut lots of fender out. but i have had no issues with the drive shaft, and i have had it flexed out to where tires are 2 feet off the ground, so i say you will be fine. just get that sawzall ready for the fenders lol.

You have a 89 though, 96+ are more prone to driveline vibrations than pre-96.

I hear lots of people talking about driveline vibes in late models, all jeeps vibe, ya know. Its kinda the nature of the beast. If youre running almost 15 inch wide bggers I personally think that vibes are the last thing you should worry about.

I currently run 32 1050 on 3 inches of lift with cut fenders. my stock wheels limit the full turning radius and i do rub on my lcas, but, it works. however i would suggest getting yours to around 4.5 to 5 inches casue thats a super fat tire to try to turn under your rig. look up a couple of threads at the jy mods thread, anything you want to do for cheap will likely be in there.

None of mine have ever had vibrations. Over 3.5 I SYE'd, under 3.5 no vibrations, never touched the TC or driveline.

Just get some shackles and spacers, and if it doesnt work out then just take them off. Rocky road makes VERY high quality shackles and their spacers are just as nice.
