i have a 99 jeep cherokee with the 4 and half rc lift kit, i was wondering if i put on a 2" coil spacer and a 2" adjustable shackles will the shocks be maxed out, on rc website it says the shocks are 4" to 6" , another question will i have to drop my transfer case more?

 

You will be ok to drive on but not flex well. Your shocks will max out. Also, on that newer year you will prob need a SYE and if not u for sure will need the trans drop. Also, you may need to look into getting the control arm drop brackets to make for a better ride.

 

i wont be flexing for a while, i will get new shocks before then, and i already have the trans drop the came with the lift kit, should i get another one and add it to it? and are sye hard to put in by yourself? sorry about all the questions i will get the drop brackets

 

No. Do not double up with trans drop. Sye can be hard. There are two types the full sye were u take apart the transfer case and the hack and tap. Diff cost and diff skills needed.

 

so the one on rcs website is the full or no, i have a mechanic at work, i will see if he can help me

 

Yes I think the RC one is a pull the transfer case apart style.

Maybe. You might get some Drive Shaft vibes though. Hey try it out if it works go with it if not take it back off and wait.

 

ok i will try it and i have a work truck to drive if it starts to vibrate, thanks for the advice

 

got it all installed just took me 10 hours to do but it looks good, and no vibration from the driveshaft, but still going to get the sye, thanks for the help

 

I also have the same question/lift different year rig. My question was, would it be cool to add the spacer lift to my existing lift and if so would my shocs be absolete? I plan to also get the SYE , but was unfamiliar with control arm drop brackets. Where/how do I go about getting those? My overall goal is to clear 35" tires. Would this be possible? Thanks.
