if i suspension lift my 94 cherokee 3 inches will i have to get new drive shafts?

No, You may need to do a transfer case drop or sye. If you need a sye then yes you will have to get a new rear driveshaft but the front one will be fine.

ok i was wondering that myself i have a 99 xj and plan on doing a 5.5 to 6.5 full supension lift. i have never done anything like that and im a total newby to the subject so any info you can throw my way would be appreciated.

With that much lift I can almost guarantee you that you will need a sye. Is it going to be your daily driver?

Sye, stands for Slip Yoke Eliminator. It is used to help correct driveline angles on lifted jeeps. Not ever jeep needs one, because every jeep is different. With a small lift like 3", you may not need one. Some people use a 1" spacer on the transfer case cross memeber, called a transfer case drop. This lowers the transfer case thus getting your driveline angles closer to stock specs. Many people consider this a bandaid because your only covering up the problem.

whats a good tire size to run in the mud on a 3" lift ?

with a 3" lift you will need a TC drop at least. If that doesn't cure the driveline vibes, casued by the lift you will need to replace the TC drop with a SYE and drive shaft. Tires for mud the bigger the better. Tires for a 3" lift are 31". You could go bigger with some fender trimming and bump-stopping.

You just put a jack under the cross member, take out the stud and the bolt, lower the cross member, install the spacer and install the new hardware. Then do the same thing to the other side. Its pretty easy.
