Has anyone looked into while lifting there jeep the precautions. For example if you were to get into an accident and your at fault could you be sued just because your vehicle is modified? Any ideas?

oh i'm sure you could!! people sue for dumber reasons than that. I think it would be hard to win the lawsuit if the lifted vehicle was still within the states lift law.

You can have your vehicle insured as a lifted vehicle. Just take it up the the insurance agent and have them look at it so they can note it. Sometimes it may increase your insurance, but your covered.

as long as your vehicle conforms to your particular states laws and regulations i think you will be fine i had a lady get her car stuck underneath my f150 on 38s in the rearand i had to drive it off causing some pretty sweet damage to her car just about tore the whole front clip right off a BMW x series suv and i never had any problems and i live in PA were theyre pretty tough on things like that

i live in pa and i know a guy with a lifted jeep and he was at a redlight and there was a tractor trailer truck coming up and he pulled up to far so he was backing up and didnt see the car behind him and drove up his front end.. he got screwed over .. im pretty sure if some car backed up into the car and did the same amount of damage i bet the car wouldnt have to pay as much as the lifted jeep

Cool

If he had to back up he was over the white line at the intersection. Common issue everywhere. Once you pass the big white line you are very close to the smaller white lines that make up the cross walk. You are not supposed to go past the big white line until it is safe. All these people that hang out in the middle of the intersection are asking to be hit. And they are also blocking the pedestrian crosswalks.

Combine that with rolling stops @ signs & lights. Be careful people! The life you save might be your friend. Or your neighbor. Or your own.

One reason I like offroading.......no lines.........

Off topic: I was getting in my Jeep the other day (facing an intersection) and there was a guy that had pulled so far forward he was past the white line. Apparently the light bypassed him (he was past the sensors) and all I could see was him waving his arms and apparently cursing as the light changed from left turn only to red. I'm 22 and am still amazed how poorly people drive.... serves him right (yes there was a cross walk he was in).
