Default lift install troubles

Hey guys, my jeep is on the lift at school, spending the weekend . Had issues with the one leaf spring, the front leaf bolt came out of the nut, but got stuck in the bushing sleave and we had to cut it. Does anyone know what size/thread pitch that bolt is? And also, the brake line relocation kit that is included in the kit, does that really work? It could just be that the jeep is on the lift, but the line is real tight and I dont think id be able to turn the wheel without ripping the brake line at full articulation. So, if that kit is just garbage, who sells the cheapest extended line? Or is there a hose off of another jeep that will work thats longer? This is a rough country 4.5" lift by the way, with full leafs

I do believe YJ Wrangler brake lines will work and they should be the equivilent of a 4-6 inch extended brake line if im not mistaken.

I got it from rough country directly, and i thought that the yj brake lines were just the rear? Didnt know it was for the front too?

After you unbolt the bracket that keeps the brake line close to the frame. The line has a bit of play in it. You can gain a few inches by using a self-taper and moving the mount down a bit.

i would jump on the rough country website and see if your lift was supposed to come with extended break lines..most lifts that tall should as far as i know..if thats the case call them up and chew them a new ***hole and tell them you want your break lines. if not well i don't know what jeeps have longer ones but if i remember right they are not TOO expensive, was looking into it for when i get my RE 4.5 lift, cause i think my buddy i am buying the kit from is keeping them, but we will see.

hey, i had to retap my bolt hole too, the first three threads were stripped as I tried to back out the bolt that was seized in the sleeve.. I don't know 100% for sure, but I think it was a m14x1.5 or 1.75, hell, could have even been a 2.00, but it was a m14xsomething.. you will have to verify that for yourself..
