If you run the same ratio as stock it will feel quite sluggish but will work. That tire usually calls for a 4:10 -4:56 ratio to get you back in the right RPM range for the 4.0L.

If ya got a D35 don't go with 33's at least that's my opinion..Hit the JY and find a 97+ XJ 8.25 or a D44 from an 80's model XJ...Direct bolt ons and will handle the 33's...Also make sure you get the driveshafts as well..

if its a daily driver i would go with a 3-3.5" lift and run 31's. running any bigger on d35 is gonna be risky but im sure someone has done it.

i just ordered a lift for my Cherokee, i would say the perfect size lift for a daily driver is a 3-3.5" lift, also will fit a 31" tire, and will not need to change the drive shaft.
I ordered the 3.5" Rubicon express super-ride from the 4wheel drive hardware store that i luckily have 15 mins away, the workers there all argeed that Rubicon express is the best way to go!
Also the kit comes with lCA's which aren't needed but will be nice to have

It is middle of the pack. Rubicon Express is the top of the line in lifts.IMO. There is a whole thread dedicated to lifts you should read before making your decision on which to purchase.

Where at? I'm 20 min away from 4wd, right on the border of ohio/pa (beaver county, pa). We should wheel sometime

http://roughcountry.com/jeep_xj_3.html

here you go get the shock upgrades and the full leaf packs. its what im running and im happy the shocks could be a little better or if you wanna go the better route go with rubicon exprss.

http://www.rubiconexpress.com/Jeep-C...=6BBE187193249

the rubicon express is gonna be better but more expensive
