go to the junk yard and get a yoke from a wrangler
they are a high angle yoke
it should be fairly cheep and it a good band aid until you can get a SYE
just a FYI
Cherokees came with a standard yoke that will bind with a lift 3"
you can get away with a TC drop depending on the type of wheeling you do
that may be a the only thing you need
some of you may have gotten lucky and have the high angle yoke a 3" lift needs nothing to stop binding with that yoke
the wranglers all have a high angle yoke that will work on a Cherokee
with up to 4" of lift with no TC drop
its not the best setup but if you are have binding issues its a quick fix to keep you on the road

any looseness will make it vibrate and the more angle you have the worse it will be
plus it is almost imposable to get proper geome try on the front shaft
the vibes may go away after the rear shaft is back in then there will be no torque on it so if its just harmonice vibration it will be drastically reduced with no torque on it

That's what I'm hoping for. The vibes are very very mild now, and I'm with your thinking that the front DS just doesn't like having all of the torque on it and will be fine when it is no longer needed on the road. It is sitting parked until I put the SYE and rear DS in. Thanks guys!
front DS vibes could be the CV needs a rebuild

They are 31x10.50x15. Some might even say that 31s are small for that lift, but I like them. It's up to your preference.

It's one way to install a slip yoke eliminator. You "hack" off part of the transfer case output shaft and then "tap" the shaft so you can bolt on a fixed yoke. Check this out... http://www.yuccaman.com/jeep/sye.html
