Default Lift ?

I have a 90 jeep that is sitting on a 3" rough country lift with add-a-leaf and i was wonderinf if adding a 2" puck lift is a good idea? because it would be alot cheaper to do it that way if it will work right.
THANKS

As far as leafs I would suggest shackles. But there isn't much you can do with AAL's. The more you try and lift on AAL's the more strain you get on the old packs. Save up a lil longer and just get some 4.5 packs. If you got the 3 in springs for the front 2 inch spacers won't hurt anything you just may have to buy some other stuff like Disco's, longer brake lines, adjustable track bars and Contol arm drop brackets or adjustable control arms. With three inches of lift you are basically at the limit before you have to start chucking some money into it.

but i wouldn't hurt to do a 2" spacer on the front and 2" shackles on the back to give it a total of 5"?

YEs it will hurt. There would be a lot of additional costs. Not too mention weakening your leafs in the back. There is no BB for 5 inches

5 inches will require alot of modding in the rear and the front to keep you from vibrating and breaking stuff also to keep you from haveing Death Wobble.

An easy 500 bucks for a longer driveshaft and SYE to keep you from having Vibes. You can sometimes get away with a t-case drop but that is a temp fix.

I doubt a transfer case drop will work at that height. A SYE is going to be your only choice to be certain to eliminate any driveline vibes.

The control arms are going to be at a bad angle and will limit your up travel. Drop brackets may be the only way and the ride is going to suffer. If you need that much lift you would be much better off with long arms or "Y" arms to accomplish that height and have good articulation. Wih this much lift you are going to need a trackbar and longer or disconnectable swaybar end links.
