Default Exhaust and overheating

my manafold has a crack in it and was wondering if that could cause my jeep to overheat? it does not start to over heat until i reach speeds of about 55mph. then if i slow down it below 55 it cools off what do you think the probablem might be? and can i just brazz the manafold with brass to patch it for the time being?

THANKS

You can actually weld it if you like. I had one welded up and it lasted about a year that way. I think the overheating is not related to the manfold at all. I think that your radiator is partially clogged. If you have access to an infrared thermometer you might check for temperature variations.

I would check the fan clutch and the electric fan to be sure they are both operational. Fan clutches go bad all the time and most people don't even check them . As blue xj said just weld the manifold I do it quite often for people I did mine a couple years back and she finally starting to let go.

i have changed the fan clutch and the electric fan works. i bought some chemical flush for the radiator do you think that might help? and the fan shroud is missing the bottom half on the electric fan could that have anything to do with it?
