Well after 6 or so years of hard abuse on two different xj's, one of my leafs turned into "s" shape after last weekend. my rig is a trailer queen and litterally see 20miles a year on the road.

not trying to be rude but IF you wheel your rig a good amount what leafs do you have and why did you buy them? I have been looking at claytons new leafs but curious what others here think. I'm looking for quality leafs that will last like these have, 5-6 years.

You want some hardcore quality leaves? Get some deaver leaves, custom made, yeah they will be around 800-1000 for both but they will last. That's what most leaf spring pre-runners and trophy trucks use and they go through hella abuse. They use multiple thin leaves, making the leaf pack able to flex better. They are expensive as hell though.

already contacted them. sending them the weight of the rig unloaded and loaded. then they will be able to give me a quote. the guy on the phone said it would be in the $800 price range for the set. might be an option.

I have run a custom set of Alcans on my truggy for a few yrs. They flex like mad. and they too do reguire the weight of your rig. Order them a lil stiffer then you think though.. I had some axle wrap issues with mine on full throttle assaults on slick rock. I ended up adding a anti-wrap bar

I have S-10 leaves on mine and love them.I picked them up at the jy for $40.I used the factory main leaf and bolted all but the helper from the S-10 pack and it gave me 4.5 to 5in.Still sitting at that.

dont see the benefit....... yes its cool and all but to much work when you can buy a quality leaf that last 6 years.

seems like they allow for more articulation and a smoother ride.

dont know if I would go that far. I wheel with a guy that coiled his rear and it road ruff. he was always playing with the springs and different spring ratings. if I was going to link the rear it would be either air shocks or coil overs.
