check out my profile pics.. I like my set up.. two 12" infinity subs in a infinity box.. 2 infinity 6/9's in there own boxes mounted on top of the subs.. infinity 5" door speakers up front.. Jbl amp for subs i think 1200 amps, 1000rms.. The 6/9's and door speakers are run off a 4 channel jbl amp that i think is 4-500 rms.. All my buddys with cherokees have the same setup as me with the 6/9's mounted on top of the box.. I would rather hear the music not just the subs rattling every interior peice loose in the jeep.. After 3 years of a sytem in my jeep my interior noise levels are horrible.. every bump i hit theres a squeek and grind..

only part of xj's that i can say i know a lot about

Sony MEX-bt5700u
x4 Polk DB 6.5 components
powerbass 5ch amp (its 75w rms x4 at 4ohms and 500rms x1 at 2ohms which is how i have it set up)
eclipse sw601
0 10' sub (plan on upgrading to a 12' polk sr when money is avalible)

no fancy install yet, but if i can ever get a new xj ill put the time in to make it look much nicer.

ok guys. since youre talkin about sound systems i gotta ask this question. i just got a new kenwood deck along with 4 5 1/4'' kicker speakers 2 in the front doors and 2 in the sound bar on the roof. my question, how hard would it be to upgrade the factory amp with a 1600 watt 4 channel Xtreme amp? also, would i have to upgrade to thicker wire or could i use the original wire?
