With the suddenness of the "clicking", and it being an '01... I'd be worried you might have the same problem i had. I didn't keep driving mine long enough for it to quit though. Mine was a broken piston skirt. Ran fine even with that problem... Oil pressure didn't change, no over heating, no loss of power, etc.. Just started ticking out of nowhere.

There's not enough room to get a wrench under it to hold the "lower" nut in place, and the bracket spins until it hits the pan(and in turn pushes into pan).
You can probably cut it and just do a zip tie fix until you replace the bracket. Or you can pick up the right angle wrench like the other guy stated...
