they are not chrome wheels they are aluminum wheels and thats they way i got the jeep it was givin to me and its been there for 2 days im trying to get a trailer to bring it home ....and yes i all ways recheck all my lug nuts ....i have been building and racing street cars for years and never had this happen to me ..... mabey someone did fxxk with my lugs
Do you have OEM wheels?
Did you, or anyone, lube the wheel studs or nuts when the nuts were installed?
Was a torque wrench used when tightening the lug nuts?
As a note: The FSM (Section 22-8) states that "All aluminum and some steel wheels have wheel stud nuts which feature an enlarged nose. This enlarged nose is necessary to ensure proper retention of aluminum wheels." O'reilly, advance, and idiot zone sell all kinds of fancy lug nuts which may not be of the correct design for your wheels.
