Default leaky oil filter adapter help

well i have a 93 cherokee. the oil filter adapter is leaking and i have the new o rings. the problem is i cant get it off cuz it takes a giant aleen key to take the bolt out. does anybody know what size the allen key is where i can get one or have one i could use.

If its like mine its a 3/8 allen , just like a ford brake caliper they can also be a torx size t60 these can be purchaced at any auto parts store.

Torx T-60 is the right size according to the writeups on changing the oil filter adapter.

i tried a 3/8 and it was to small i even tried a 1/2

It is a torx for sure..at least my 91 was..

Try the torx if you havent messed it up with your allen wrenches.

I wish mine was a bolt , I guess they used several different types or people have changed them out over time. But mine and a friend of mines were both a 3/8 allen

94 cherokee 4.0, just finished job and had 14mm hex
