Leaking power steering fluid and horrible time steering
really wanna keep this baby in working order, do you guys think changing out the gearbox and pitman arm would do the trick? There was oil under the hood a bit but it looked like it was around where you add power steering fluid, please help a brother out lol
Can post more photos if that would help diagnose the issue, really trying to figure this out tonight so I can order the parts and get the issue fixed asap
thank you
You need to narrow down the leak. It could be the steering gear, the pump, the o-ring between the pump and the tank, or the hoses. Beware that Cardone remanf parts are junk.
is there anything I can do to pinpoint what’s going on? I also plan on replacing most of the rusted **** down there, any advice would be amazing, first jeep I’ve ever owned
thank you!
Clean it up and see where fresh stuff shows up. Engine degreaser should work.
Careful working around hydraulic leaks with your hands. You really don't want to run your hand across a leak and get a power steering fluid injection.

so clean everything off, fill it up with power steering fluid and run the engine for a few minutes and see where it gets wet?
