Default leaking front Dana 30

Gear oil from the differential leaked out of passenger side of the axle. what could this mean? I was thinking busted inner seal (if that exist). I have a Spartan drop in locker. Sometimes when i turn left i hear metal on metal coming from diff. case.

If the gear oil is coming out of the end of the axle onto the steering knuckle, then you are correct. You need to replace the inner seals in the diff housing. Not too hard of a job, it's moreso time consuming. No special tools needed either. Makes for a good saturday project.

A long pipe about the diameter of the axle tube is needed to push the old seal out.

the vent for the dif is on the upper pass side of the hog head. I misread your first post anyhow so it doesn't seem to make any difference haha.

if you have oil coming out of the axle tube it's prob from a different source.

You've got a bad axle seal, install new ones.
