Default leaf spring question

I got a set of rear lift leafs from JY out of an XJ... The problem is that for some reason, they are an inch short... They measure 49 inches eye to eye, and my stockers are 50".... WTF??? any ideas??

Your old ones are more worn so they will be flatter. They will work just fine. Just loosen the top bolt on the shackles and pull them toward the leaf.

I guess it could be possible they have sagged from fatigue? Are both stockers the same length?

I have the old leafs out. I was putting the "new" pack in, and the eyes dont line up... I was going to try and get 1 bolt started and the maybe set the jeep down on it to press the other eye in to place... sure seems hard the line the holes up that way.... any other tricks or tips???

mine were the exact same way.. install the front bolt first.. jack up the one side of the axle with a pipe between the leaf and the inner wheelwell to straighten it out.. use vice clamps to pull the leaf hole closer to the shackle hole.. and it takes some fitteling around but thats how i got mine in.. it can be a pain in the *** but its a bit of work.. i was unsure as of how to install my new leafs from RE cuz they were like 3 inches to short.. but i got the idea of resting the weight on the leaf with the pipe so it flattens out a bit.. it takes some time but no one on here really explained how to install rear leafs.. so i made my own way.. ish.
edit: instead of useing the pipe if you have the small stock jack you can use that..

When I did mine I did the front first and then i lowered the jeep down a bit and it was still a little bit short. The shackles on mine were pushed all the way back towards the back bumper so I had to loosen the top bolt on them and push the shackle toward the front of the jeep. I had to use a crowbar to get them just right. It takes a little bit of time but they will eventually line up.
