Default Large Evap Leak code keep popping up

So i got a code for a "large evap leak" Code P0455 light up on the dash which I troubleshooted the whole evap system checked all hoses and found no leaks. I also retightened the gas cap. Removed the battery - terminal, engine light dissapeared.Great. Now drove over 1000 miles, (so thats well over the 50 miles needd to reset) a month later the check engine light goes on again get it scanned and it is pulling that same code again. Large evap Leak. This time I have been noticing a gas smell in the cabin unlike the last time the code came up. I have checked under the jeep for gas leaks and I dont see anything.

Any ideas? If I am leaking gas where could it be coming from. Would this trigger the Large Evap leak code i keep getting? Or is it a seperate problem?

I appreciate the help. I cant seem to figure this one out.

You need to trace the system with smoke. Believe it or not my buddy used a party smoke machine lol.

I'm guessing if i'm smelling the gas it can't be that small of a leak that would require a smoke test.??

Those smoke tests are expensive up here. Trying to avoid the cost just to do a test.

Well start with the gas cap and work forward then. Maybe replace all the soft lines cause they're cheap. If that doesn't help you may either have a rust hole in your tank or a bad canister.
