Default Large Evap Leak Help!

So I'm bored and sick of staring at my CEL so how can I find the source of my large evap leak without a smoker?

I'd try this: Pull the return line, put about 5# air pressure behind it with an air compressor and blow nozzle, and start listening for a whistle. Or start spraying with soapy water and look for bubbles.
Likely spots are the leak detection pump and associated tubing and the evap lines and canister.

UPDATE:
Used the blow gun method and found my leak. Behind the intake manifold there is a 2 1/2" piece of 5/16" fuel hose connecting the plastic evap pipe to the steel one. It looked as though someone went to town on it with a razor blade it was so cracked. Swapped it out and have had no CEL yet!

Had the same dam issue.P0442 every other day with the CEL.Replaced the gas cap with dealer OEM for $25. Then the LDP and a few others....probably $135 or more and then I read your post(s)! I found the same thing, looks like that 2.5" 5/16" hose was slit up the middle.

I had done a visual on almost every inch of hose and lines on,in and under my 01 XJ. I reset it and I'm pretty sure that was it. Won't miss that CEL!
THanks man!
