Default knocking noise in rear???

i just started noticing this noise a couple weeks ago and it is coming from the back end, its a knocking noise and it only happens when i am braking from 20 mph and lower and it only makes the noise when it is wet outside and i have looked and looked for what it may be but i have no ideas at all..any information would be very helpful..

Sounds like you may debris inside one or both of your brake drums....or a bearing going bad.....or a worn u-joint.....or the worst case scenario, possibly a tooth missing on the rear ring and pinion.

Longhorn, inspect all rubber bushings in the rear suspension, as well. If you have a bushing worn or missing rubber you could be getting metal on metal just when under the load of braking. I had worn bushings in the sway bar cause a knocking noise under accel. and braking, once.

So how would brakes have solved a knocking? just curious. What would they actually be doing to cause such a noise? I thought it would be more of a grinding as metal ate away at the drums from no padding left...what am i missing?
