knocking from bell housing

knocking from bell housing

i thought my 95 cherokee's flex plate had cracked, 4 bolts were loose and didnt see any cracks. the knocking is still there but not as loud, the whole exhaust seems tight. any ideas what it could be?

Did you use a threadlocker when putting the bolts back in?

no i didn't. it seems to be alright when it idles but as soon as i put it in gear it starts
