knock and humming while accelerating

knock and humming while accelerating
As I'm driving I get a knocking comin from what I think is the rear. It does it through first and second gear and then after that its starts squealing really bad? I'm new here any suggestions. I have a 92 xj 4.0 with chrysler 8.25

Diagnosing sounds over the internet is always a bit of a troublesome exercise.
So, in order to help you out, some more info might be helpfull.
Do you think or do you know it's coming from the rear? Does it clunk when you drive?
Checked anything on the vehicle yet?
