So, my tires are running way low on tread, and i found a couple 33x11.5x15's on good ol' craigslist for $100 and was considering throwing them in the rear, since they still have like 80% tread left. only thing is, i've got all 33x12.5x15's on right now. i can't find any other 11.5's, so would i mess up anything by putting on the 11.5's in the rear, with 12.5's in the front?

depending on what the tires are i doubt you will be able to notice an apperence difference. i run 12.5s and have a 13.5 spare and its kinda hard to see difference with eye

no you won't mess anything up with a difference in width. just make sure your spare is also a 33. doesn't matter if it is 11.5, 12.5 or even 13.5. width doesn't matter as long as it's an imperial size. metric size would make a slight difference tho.
but as mentioned, i would run the 12.5s on the rear and the 11.5s on the front. that will also help with any rubbing while turning.

well, i want the 11.5's on the rear because they have way more tread than the 12.5's. besides, i'd only run em like that for another week till i can buy 2 brand new ones and put these used in the front and new in the back.

If you drive on the road like most of us do from time to time I would put the better tread on the front. Its just much safer that way, all your braking power in an emergencey is in the front and theres much less chance of hydroplaning with the better tread in the front. Also when your four wheelin if you get stuck in two wheel drive and have to kick it in 4X4 youve already used all your traction with the good tires on the back.Just my 2 cents.
