Interesting since I have a 99 Classic that has keyless entry issues, It works sometimes and most times not, it will unlock but sometime not lock.

For those with a 99 is your key fob make by Astra and do you have a small block box at your rear view mirror with LED's?

I would like to make mine work so will be watching here.

I bet dollars to donuts yours is aftermarket, and you have a loose ground wire on the lock relay.

You most likley have an aftermarket. I had my keyless entry installed yesterday. It works and is so nice. I have kids and was tired of having to use my key to unlock then hit the switch ti unlock all the other doors and then help them get in and buckle up.

So where might I find the lock relay, would it be a aftermarket part or part of my keyless entry? I heard it may be in the overhead console, I wouldn't know it if I saw it what's it look like a and how to correct the problem?

When I installed mine (viper) I put it up behind the overhead console because thats where all the factory wires are you need to make it work. Yours is likely there too, but might not be. On my unit if you want a negative output, which is what you will need for lock, unlock, you must provide the internal relay in the unit with a ground input. I am betting your ground wire is loose on the unlock relay but has a different ground for the lock relay.

I bought the keyless entry kit because my first is on the way!
