I got a stock 00 Jeep and it has the factory lock and unlock and the panic remote with it. Does the parking light suppose to blink every time I use the lock, unlock button? When I hit the panic button, it makes a sound but no light flashing. What could it be or is that how it came factory?

 

ive got a 99 with tha same setup and mine doesnt blick either so either both of ours is junk or it came that way!!! lol

 

It gotta blink. I have never seen a car/truck that does not blink when it locked or unlocked. Also panic part should always have a headlight flashing, I know that for sure.

Nope, no lights will blink. All you'll get is a chirp of the horn upon locking it up, and a honking horn when using the Panic button.

 

Wow, that is weird. Why would they set it up like that.

 

No flash here either. Anybody know if this is something that can be changed with programming, like the horn?

 

i have a 99 xj it has the bord in the dome but it didnt come with keyless can i get a remote and program it or is there somthing that has to be done to the bord

 

My 01 doesn't blink but I get the horn cherp. I haven't tried out the panic button.

I may have to give the panic a go tomorrow to see if they flash now.

 

GM vehicles are programmable. Jeeps might be as well. Check your owners manual

 

I just did a quick check and it has nothing about it.
I may recheck tomorrow as my eyes are going crossed from work today. LOL

 

Checked the panic and lights didn't flash but the horn went off.
