key cylinder replacement
when into the store, came back out and went to start the Jeep, and I could not turn the ignition, would not turn either way, I had the wife bring the spare key, and same thing, steering wheel is locked, and cannot turn key, is replacing, the tumbler hard, any suggestions, special tools ect.......

Well i write what you need to do.
Pull wheel off (puller)
Lock plate compressor
then you un hook your turn sigs (phillips)
then you push a button type thing in your cylinder, pull it out and replace. And put back together.

Yeah, you got lucky owning a 94, otherwise it's a bit more of a hassle. As stated, a steering wheel puller, a compressor, and be careful with the clock spring for the turn signals and you'll be fine.
Search ignition replacement here on CherokeeForum, there's a terrific "How-To" writeup done by a member years ago, pictures and all. Huge help when I did mine.
