hello to all this is my first post on this site. i need help with a problem that arised today while taking the batterie out of the jeep. when i took the batterie out about 1 min after. my friend noticed some smoke comig out of the cab. the sensor on the headliner just behind the rearveiw mirrior had caught on fire for some reason. luckly i got the fire put out before it did much damage. my ? is what is this sensor. does anybody know. i thought that it might be for auto lights or something.

i have a 1993 cherokee country 4X4 with a 4.0 and auto trany and it also has some other sticker sayin it is some kinda anniversy edition.

that little deal is the keyless entry sensor.

didnt think of that sounds like it just needs to be taken out seen as how i dont have the keyless remote. still wounder why it caught on fire. thanks for the help.
