i think i can but just buy one of those funnel shaped fitlers with some 4 or 5 inch housing and put hose clamps on both ends and maybe a bracket for extra support.

Yeajust get a spectre cone perfomance filter and attach it right to your current intake. It cost like 20 bucks and it sounds and performs pretty closely to a full k&n system

The key to getting cold air is to make a box for it out of anything that will isolate it from the rest of the engine compartment. One side to the hood can be open so you can service it. I used the strip between the hood and body off an 80s Chevy pickup for a seal.

route the cone into your stock air box (keeping the top on and not cutting it up), and look at the opening of your air box, then directly in front of it at the firewall. Remove the black plastic cap and ream out the air box hole to match the one in the firewall. Fab up a piece to connect the two and Viloa! Cold air with the benefits of ram air.

It's a K&N kit from a 94 grand cherokee. I pulled off from the JY for $10. A little cutting and I've got a shield...
If i didnt find the K&N from the GC, i would use sheet metal. Get a heavier gauge.
**MAKE A MOCK UP WITH CARDBOARD**
its alot easier to fold and refold, throw away and try again with free cardboard....
