Just picked up a Jeep
Whats up guys! I'm new to the Jeep world and Im already loving the new ride. I picked up a 2001 Jeep Cherokee XJ...
97K Miles
4x4
4.5 inch lift with Pro Comp shocks
32in BF Goodrich MTs on black rims
I wanted to ask you all how hard it would be to lower the Jeep. I think 4.5 inch is a bit too high for my taste and want to bring it down to 3 inches.

Why? Seriously, for the cost, time and cost, only for and inch and a half!? Just leave it as is. Unless youre 5'6" and getting in is a SERIOUS hassle, I would leave it. Not only is it functional, but it looks good too. Hell, I wish my Jeep was set up like that!

Also...just a note. They sell side steps for XJ's. I think it'd be cheaper than the hassle of buying a new lift, installing it, removing old, taking time to sell old (for half its value), etc. Plus, some of those side step packages are pretty BA looking. Just a humble idear.
maybe your right. That's why i asked. I don't know nothing when it comes to jeeps or cars for that matter. Im 6'1" and have no problem getting in. I used to drive a lowered mustang, I might just need to get used to it.
