Default Just Had To Share! Passed 200k today!!

I passed 200,000 miles today!! I feel like it is such a mile stone!

I have had my baby since 155,000. It was my first vehicle in high school! She has been with me through girlfriends, adventures, and was the heart and soul of my lawn care business. She has taught me so much about working on vehicles it's ridiculous. When I got her she was rusty and sagging. Below is what she currently looks like! LED Spotlights ate on the way, and I am in still installing my Notch Customs Fender Flares.

I would have passed long ago but it is not my DD anymore. I have put 20,000 on my Mustang, and 4,000 on my CBR. I have been making it a point to drive it more lately just to get to the 200k mark! Trips to Alabama sure do help!

I will be 20 in a few months, is nearly 70,000 miles in less than 4 years a lot for most folks?? That's more than the 10-12k average most people do I suppose. This doesn't include the roughly 6k I put on my ex girlfriends car driving back and forth to Tampa (she hated driving).

Are there any guys on here still going strong on original motor with 300k??

Of course....is this a joke?

You do realize what forum you are in, right?

Lol to be fair, a lot of guys with over 300 have had some head work, but there's certainly many of them with over 300 all original, just maintained. I had a 96 like that. The body was shot, so I had to junk it, but the motor was definitely good until 400.

I'm at roughly 240,000 miles on my '00 xj, original 0331 head, original AW4 and it runs pretty damn good.

I appreciate the responses guys!

Yeah, I have seen many people with 300k+ but I have no idea how original the motors / transmissions are. I was just curious! My jeep still all original as far as motor and transmission goes. Other than basic maintenance, I did the valve cover gasket back in the march.

I plan on keeping mine for years and years to come! It has already evolved beyond what I ever thought I would make it. I plan to continue to make it my baby.

Next up will be upgrading the axles. Gears, lockers, disk brake upgrade, and shafts in order to prep for bigger tires! It's a toss up right now between 35's and 37's. I'll admit, 37's is more of a want than a practical upgraded size.

But! All this will be months away. I would like to have the axles upgraded before the end of next summer. I just dumped a lot of money on the winch, flares, and front bumper! So, I need time to recover! Ha

my 99 is at 192k right now on the odo but its really past the 200 mark since ive never changed the speedo gear. second motor and a rebuilt trans. However my familys old 95 zj made it to 290 all original and we never even took care of the thing!
I want this one to make it to half a million miles thatll be a feat

They will go a long, long time if you keep on the maintenance.

My factory suspension made it to 320,000 except for one track bar and shocks. All I ever did was grease it.

The AW4 transmission is one of the most reliable transmissions ever built by man. They frequently outlast the engine.

I have an 01 with the problem head and I've had the head off twice. Once at 160 for low compression from valve seats. Then again this spring at 315 when I changed it because of a mild crack.

Just grease what needs to be greased and keep the fluids clean - all the fluids.

Welcome to the club. Its a compliment on your ability to take care of and maintain a vehicle. Even with Chryslers desire to make them fall apart soon.
Many more happy miles.
