Ive got an 88 with closed cooling system. Just got everything working flawlessly for the first time in 2 years yesterday..haha. Replace the resivour. Mine was leaking on the right side where the hose attaches and runs to the heater hose. Most likely you have a crack in the nipple where the hose fits over. Replace that, your thermostat, and consider the radiator flush. Youll have the problem solved in less than 100 bucks, hell less than 50 if the resivor and tstat fix the problem.

Change the radiator cap to fix your coolant issue. I've just fixed the exact same problem with mine!

wow, sorry for taking so long to get back to this thread. I had it set up to send me emails when people posted but for some reason I never got any. I have since ordered a overflow tank so im awaiting its arrival soon The rear end I still havent had much time to take a look into (house recently flooded) but I have since developed another problem. Stalling.

So the other night I was out driving with a friend of mine and all of a sudden the RPM's dropped to 0. I gave it some gas, nothing. After about 10 seconds it kicked back up to around 2000 rpms but then stalled again 2 seconds later and died. As I said, I dont have a working fuel gauge so I thought maybe I ran out of gas. So I ran and got some gas and she started back up. Got about half way home, stalled again. Sat for about 3 minutes and then she started again. As I was pulling into my driveway, stalled again. And now here she sits...

I went to autozone and the guy was insistent that it was not the relays. Told me it sounded like a wiring issue with my fuel pump? So i removed and cleaned the prongs on the relays and have since reinstalled them. As well as a fresh oil change.
