just another custom cb antenna mount pics inside
PO had a glass mount antenna and it just wasnt doin it
so i purchased a mount and whip antenna from a member on here
and that was just hideous so i bought a firestick 2 5ft and firestick heavy dutty spring and utilized the mount in my own way..

spring was to flexible so have to get a stronger one

I had that same problem with the first spring I bought off flea bay. it claimed to be for a 63" whip, I used it on a 48" firestick and watched the antenna fall over. I went to radio shack and bought the heavy duty spring they sell, it works good.

yea i was pretty suprised this being a firestick heavy duty spring rated for 2-5ft it didnt exatly fall over it just wasnt as stiff as id like.. so will def be going to radio shack and purchasing one
