Which junkyard hatch shocks will work on the cherokee?

I read on here the explorer shocks will work.
I picked up a 02-05 explorer set but the threads are too small

I'd strongly recommend new gas springs, like these:
I replaced mine a couple of years ago, huge difference. I no longer had to lift the hatch or bump my head.
You'll need to find a Canadian source.
