Well, I'm taking a trip in a couple weeks and I'm getting Cupholders (the ones that mount above the parking brake), Some different cherokee badges would be cool to get, I'd also try and find a cherokee laredo or higher trim level and get some chrome accents (door handles, chrome grilles, mirrors, etc.), There's really no limit as to what cherokee parts you can swap out and there's so many trim levels you'll never get bored seeing what looks good on your XJ....

Now, about the Lift... I just bought my '96 Cherokee two weeks ago and my rear leafs are sagging, so I'm getting different leafs and coils. Just look up what a "budget boost" lift is and they will tell you everything you need to get to lift your XJ using salvaged parts. If I remember correctly, you can use the leafs off a Dakota 4x4 or Ranger 4x4, and the front coils can come off a GC V8.

since your XJ is a 2wd, a front drive shaft, transfer case would make it 4x4.

Default upgrades

there is a thread on this forum that lists a whole bunch of the junk yard parts that can fit/upgrade your XJ. Do a search for upgrades and it should pop up. You can make a pretty cool ride with JY parts as far as lifts go do a search for "bastard pack"

Also, as a prior post mentioned, most of the stuff from other trim lines will fit easily. I added fog lights, skid plates, tow hooks, guages, new seats and a whole list of stuff that bolted right up.

I did my lift with a set of coil spacers and a "bastard pack" rear leaf set up from a chevy s-10. Including new hardware and some bushings it cost less than $100. I have 3" in the rear, and 2" up front.

a lot of other stuff from other trucks fits good also, ZJ seats, wheels and tie rod can be a decent addition

2wd will limit your off roading, but the cherokee is still an awesome truck. Upgrading to 4x4 wouldnt be as hard as it seems. JY parts will all bolt up

Chuck

My buddy and I just finished converting his old 2WD Cherokee into 4WD with parts from the local yard! It cost him $155. Very easy to install and just bolted right up.

You would be amazed what a 2wd is capable of, especially with a locker. Back on topic, grab fuses, 93-04 Grand Cherokee seats (way more comfortable), overhead console, just look around and read this: http://https://www.cherokeeforum.com...herokee-58797/

He's just saying if it's a 2wd, you shouldn't waste your money lifting it lol
