This is a helpful page for a cheap lift. It floats into threads quite often.
Do your thing man, it's your Jeep. Have a little fun and put these on it

I'm pretty sure the Chrysler AMC guys were high on crack when they drew up the 2wd xj. It had to be a joke right? WTF is the point of a Jeep with no 4x4!!? Defenitely do the 4x4 swap before lifting it man. Pointless to lift it without 4x4

That's what I always thought.... Well there is one good use for them and that's racing. You can always make the jeep into a jeepspeed baja rig. It's lighter and 4wd isn't really required

There is NO POINT to lifting a 2wd vehicle unless you want to "look cool". Anyone who knows anything about off-roading or has a basic understanding of how an automobile works would see instantly that it is 2wd and laugh at you anyways. Do yourself a favor and convert it too 4x4 buy a Haynes manual take some time to learn about how your jeep works.

well at this time i dont have the time to go off roading. and i dont have alot of money either.. so i figured get the lift done now so i can cruise like a cool kid. and then when i get the money and time.. convert to a 4x4 and have it lifted already so i can hit the offroad scene quick.

So when yall did this, did yall have to change the transmission? I've been wanting to convert mine over and i've heard mixed answers about it. But nobody was for sure.
