Default Jumpy RPM

So i have searched and searched and cant figure out what is wrong.
But basically what happens is after 2000 RPM it starts to hic up and the rpm will drop then jump. and it will make my jeep jerk a little. No clue what is happening any help is greatly appreciated.

If you haven't changed the CPS it just maybe time..
It's the jerking comment that makes me say that..

My tps is only about 6-8 months old

Aftermarket?
Test it and then you know. Analogue meter is best because the needle 'sweep' can be observed. You might want to make sure your throttle body valve (and body) are clean too with this.

Personally I would run it over to the parts store and see if it has any codes popping up. Even if the CEL isn't coming on you may still have some stored codes.

It may just be time for a tune up. Ive seen people go too long with out doing one and there vehicles will start acting up like you are describing. Ive even had a person ask me to look at there honda and there plugs were so far gone that the car wouldnt even start any more.
