Default Jeeps with snorkels...

I think they are cool as hell... how do you get your exhaust like that? Do you just run a pipe up the side or what? i don't mean to sound stupid but i really don't know...

As long as you never shut off the vehicle, it is perfectly fine to let the exhaust out in the water, when under water.

Tabitha

As stated the snorkels that you have seen are for the air intake. There can be snorkels on the exhaust also. Military vehicles that are set up for fording have both of them, but no one ever uses the exhaust snorkels in the civilian world. If you do get a snorkel and do some fording, never shut the engine down while the exhaust pipe is under water. Even a little water in the pipe can ruin your O2 sensor and then it will not run. Long walk back home.
