So I decided I needed to replace the stock interior lights because they are totally pointless because of how dim they are...anyways I was thinking about buying these for the dome lights;

I'm using the CF app on my iPhone so I can't get basic info on your vehicle, i.e. year. I have a '98 and just from the pic of your avatar, you definitely have something older. May I suggest a google search for an "interior LED conversion" on your generation or ever a forum search. There usually isn't much of a difference between our generations on smaller stuff like this mod, but I may be wrong. Someone specific to your generation or your year is bound to have a topic on it already. Good luck with your search!

If I were you, I'd search Ebay for a overhead console for the 92-96 limited trim level XJ, it should be a direct fit and you get a lot more lights. In addition, if you swap out those incandecent bulbs for decent LEDs you will have TONS of light.

I did the same thing with mine (granted it's a 2000) but the concept is the same. The only thing I may still add are some front footwell lights, but that can come later.
