I have an 89 model and I buried the jeep in a mud hole the ecu was shot so we replaced it and now she will fire up and run good until you touch the gas then it will shut off. When the mechanic (foothills 4x4 in Greenville sc) unplugs all 6 injectors it will continue to run for about 10 minutes. He thinks it's the injectors causing this issue. Any ideas? Thanks.

Only thing I can think of is there is dirt in injectors and they are leaking fuel, which is keeping engine running. Stalling when you step on gas could be a clogged fuel filter. I would also check your fuel pressure at rail.

The only way that it will stay running is if they are all leaking fuel and just running on the built up pressure. Did you see it running for that long with the wires unplugged? Did it run rough when he unplugged them? If it was still running fine I have a hard time believing it. I have never seen all six of the injectors start leaking all at once. If he didn't show you this in person have him show you. He may be trying to sale you a complete set of injectors on top of what ever else needs to be worked on. I hope that, that isn't the case

He showed me but it was a matter of seconds and he hit the throttle and it died. He got it running so that was good enough for me so I had it towed home so now I will mess with it. Fuel pressure is great he showed me that on the little **** on the fuel rail. Adjusted TPS and all but as soon as you touch the gas she just dies

If the injectors were not closing all the way they would still push fuel into the chamber and allow it to run. That makes sense when you push the gas it dies. Just small amount leaking from 1 or more injectors being open wouldn't be enough to actually drive the jeep.
I would replace the injectors with 703's since you have an issue with them you might as well do the best value upgrade there is to the 4.0
