Hopefully this helps someone else with stalling problems. I recently built a 4.6 stroker for my jeep and decided to replace all sensors while I was at it. Since the day I installed I would be driving down the road and it would die, power stayed on but engine stopped firing. I had gone through all grounds upgrading the oem braided with 4ga wire. I had already replaced the map, cps, cks, o2, coolant temp, idle air, coil, distributor assembly, cap, rotor, fuel pump, pressure regulator and wires. So, I thought it has to be the cpu, but before I spent the money on something I wasn't even sure was the problem I decided to do some more poking around. I checked the auto shutdown system and found no blown fuses, so I replaced the relay still with no luck. I decided I would test the alt and that was good. Well, last night I was at it again starting the engine and wiggling wires to see if I had a short and again nothing unill I got down by the alt. I lightly touched the wires and the engine died. I repeated this over and over trying to pin point the wire it was. I removed all electrical tape to wiggle each wire one by one and still could not figure it out so I threw a fit like a 2 year old and cried. not really, but I wanted to. anyway, I decided to check connections starting with the coil, bam the engine dies, I repeated and confirmed that this was my problem so I picked up a MSD blaster ss coil, installed it by cutting that f****** plug off and using some common spades and since NO MORE STALLING!!

I'm big on the "wiggle test". I've found alot of intermittent problems that way.
I usually do that first. RCBRC=Refresh Connections Before Replacing Components.

On any newly acquired Jeep or when working on someone else's, I unplug every connector in the engine bay I can see, spray out both halves with electronics cleaner and plug them back together.
Who knows how many problems I have possibly avoided? Not to mention the savings from not buying replacement parts.
I suspect that sometimes components get replaced and the person thinks the component was the problem when in fact it was the act of plugging the new part in that fixed it.

I can't remember how many rigs I have helped get going on the trail by giving wires a wiggle.
