Hi everyone, the problem I am having could be caused by two different issues and I would love any assistance on these issues.

1. Jeep sometimes won't start...I'll start it from the house, let it warm up then drive it to the store and when I go to start it will not start and the only way to get her to start is if i wait OR shake the shifter.

2. I'm getting a P0306 check engine light code and I have a misfire sometimes on the 6th cylinder. I took it to a shop and they said it could need a valve job.

Your no start problem sounds like you have a bad or dirty NSS (Neutral Safety Switch) Since you say that you have to move the shifter.

 

Clean your NSS and change your spark plugs (champion coppers gapped to 0.35) will get you started cheaply.

 

Thanks guys, i will try cleaning the nss and as for the misfire ive recently changed the spark plugs.
