Don't know if this'll apply to bedbugs, but my dog had a bad case of fleas.
Got rid of them on my dog but she always got re-infected again in a couple days.

My Vet recommended to religiously vacuum all the rugs, under the couches, any dark out of the way areas, etc. every day because thats where they lay their eggs.
Then spray insecticide the vacuum bag. In a week or two it worked, no more fleas.
Now its tick season again!

Yeah, i get itchy too when reading this thread.
Don't know if i'll ever stay at one of those cheap flop-house motels again when taking cross country road trips.

Try actually having them.
Bugs don't care if dirty or clean. Place he stayed was clean. These sh*tbugs happen. NY has a major problem.

I'm gonna cry. Got the bugs back in the Jeep. I can get rid of them because not so bad now. But bigger problem. Wahhhh. They made it to our bed ! SOB !!! I stayed away for 2 weeks. Slept at work. Didn't drive the Jeep. BBQ'd the bastards. Worked. Finally get to go home. I drive back to work. No problem. Afternoon make a run for a burger. Felt something. Ok. Some remnants. They tend to be nocturnal. Was at work waiting to heat the Jeep..
Mrs called. Tells me their in our bed. She got bit last night. Turned on the light. Ewww. On the pillows. Oh Sh***t. The bed is upstairs. Oh shhhhhh*t. So while I was away, the bugs there worked their way to the buffet, our bed.

At work now. Had Stayed overnight to Bbug-BQ. But couldn't cuz of high winds. Not doing it with trash blowing and a very hot flame from the torpedo heater. I measured it at 600F+ last I used it,.
. So waiting for the winds to stop. Gonna cook the Jeep again at work. Follow up with inside Steam clean .. Then drive home. Buy mattress bags, bag the bed. Toss it too. Spray, Steam clean , Vacuum, etc etc etc
Dear God, PLEASE!

I HATE SF !!

This is the craziest infestation I have ever heard of. Like many posts on here, I start to itch just thinking about it. And now the house. Must be Hell on Earth for you and your girlfriend. I'm wishing the best for you but....this is just crazy. Keep us posted, I'm going to follow this post just for the entertainment value. Hope you get it resolved soon.

Happy Jeepin'

Getting rid of the bed bugs is easy now for the Jeep. Just a hassle. I did a BBug-BQ again last night. Basic same set up. Torpedo Heater pointed thru the hatch. Set on bricks. Then some ducting to route heat behind and in front of the seats. Two small electric heaters in front of both the drivers and passenger seat pointing under the dash. Had 2 small heaters I put behind the seats . Propped up the back seat halfway with wire to hold it . The Bottom back seat pushed forward with a brick to space it open a little. Directed the ductwork . Set the torpedo Heater about 16" to 24" from the Back. I lowered and tied the hatch down lower so to keep in the heat and NOT melt the hatch plastic. Started at 24", then when all seems safe, backed the Jeep up to 16". Make sure the torpedo heater is pointing UP into the Jeep, not at the gas tank. Let it run . Gets to 125F pretty quick. Then it reaches 170F or more . I ran for about 1-1/2 + hours. I sprayed along each door since the door seals are not that great. Don't want those little bastards leaving the BBug-BQ early. Heck, 1994, seals good, hah. Careful about the flash point of Isopropanol. A fire would definitely get rid of them, but rather not torch it just yet.

Then turned the torpedo heater to one side for some time. Then turned again to the other side. The back was only at about 125F due to hatch up and the heat loss. Eggs die at 140F. So cooked for another 30 minutes when reached 160F. Wahla. Bed Bug well done. Turn off BBug-BQ for the night. This morning, a comfortable drive. No bites. Hell, I even sang with the radio I was so bleeping happy and relieved.
So day one is good. Will see if it continues. Hope no more eggs. Nothing goes in my Jeep for 2 weeks. Only me, my jack, spare tire, and beer for later. I took the spare out and doused it with Isopropanol, 99% lab grade. Then repeated. I was not going to cook the tire in the Jeep. I'll spray the tire once in a while just in case the b@stards are there hatching.
I'll keep posted on the next few days.
Now me and the Mrs are going to ATTACK and DESTROY those pos in our bedroom. Well, probably me . I'm so freaking freaked , I will enjoy destroying them. Next.
Wondering if torpedo heat will work in the bedroom? Mrs Yelled NOoooo. LOL.

I'll keep you all posted. So heat works. Hey my Curry friend, That darn hobo won't leave. Maybe your curry powder is needed for him.

Oh I did use Diatamacous earth at the start. Used it wrong but it did kill the back seat bugs. Turned seat reddish brown. Dead bugs bled MY blood. I will use DE as a preventative. Scrub it Into the floor rug. It cuts them up like what they use in the countries with this horrible problem. Kidney bean LEAVES. They spread it around their bed Seems the hair on the leaves stops them from moving. It actually impails them. I'll look for that article and post the link. Problem is, can't buy kidney bean plant LEAVES. Gotta grow your own.

Watch this video, the whole thing. The end tells about these creatures. Marvelous little bastards.
I'm building the trap and putting one in the Jeep tonight and one in the office at work. Gotta find out. Fascinating but ugly. I'll post results.

Click the BedBug trap video, Fascinating

My set up is going in the Jeep, passenger front. And another at work in the back where I think I found bed bugs near the trash. Used a Large Arrowhead water bottle to mix the ingredients. Cut a soda bottle for my bowl. Didn't have anything else to use
