I've seen many threads on this but I'm still not sure of the problem. My xj has been shutting off while I'm driving it recently, and I'm not sure if this means anything but it all started after I changed the plugs about a week ago. It has a full tank of gas. The thing I find most intriguing is that when it shuts off I turn the key and it fires right back up like nothing happened. The engine doesn't even make a strange noise when it shuts off it just stops running. The battery is brand new and the lights stay on after it shuts off. Does anyone have any clue what this might be? While I am thinking this is not the issue maybe the CPS. Mine would shut down when driving pretty much when it reached operating temperature. And would start right back up. Can read more here:

I was thinking it was the cps too, but the more I read the more it seemed that I wasn't having the same issues as everyone else with that problem. I might still try and test though. It has shut off three times and two of those times it wasn't yet at operating temperature. This one has me stumped
