I just got my 92 xj, auto, 4.0l on the road two weeks ago, after driveing it for a week, everything seemed fine, it went like a bear in the snow, (in PA we just recieved a dumping of 28") right now the jeep is sitting at a gas station off of I-70 and not running, friday night we lost power, so I had it ideling out front for a few hours or so with a power inverter hooked up to it, so we could have heat,a light and a radio. the jeep was fine. I left in the morning driveing through, over, under, and around trees, power lines, etc etc, and drove it 13 miles out to drop the kids off at their grandparents, I then made it to I-70 through what ever road I could find which wasnt blocked off or unpassable, the jeep was fine all this time... I drove all the way out I-70 20 miles to goto wal-mart for kerosine, food and water... since the power is not supposed to be back on till next week sometime, I parked in walmart, me and my wife went shopping I came out, started the jeep up, pulled out of the parking spot, and it bogged out like there was no fuel, It would crank, and then start for a second and die again... I tried everything I had with me, I had a spare regulator, I went into walmart and bought a new battery (old one started to die from cranking it) I bought new plugs ( they were black and I figured it couldnt hurt) after checking a bunch of things, spark, fuel pressure (depress the valve, and it sprays fuel over the engine and over the fender (should be enough pressure) if you hold it WOT it will run, it will bounce off the rev limiter and run, then you can let off the gas till just around 2500 rpms and it will promptly drop off and die, I have unlimited access to stock parts so I figured what the hell, I'm not freezeing, I got it running and did a neutral drop at 2500rpms and got it moveing drove all the way down I-70 to about three or four exits down closer to home, would not run below 2500 would just bog out, had to put it in neutral and start it WOT and then put it in drive, and slowly let off the throttle... the jeep is now stranded off of I-70 at a gas station, and will still only start and idle for about 2 seconds, or start and run at anything above 2500rpms anyone have any ideas?

Just a thought but how's your alternator u could of burned that thing out if you were using your jeep to power your house lol

Alternator is fine. I'm going to go out and try a tps today.. I'm hopeing thats it.

Changed out the tps today, jeep fired right up, and idled perfectally, and ran fine..
