Default Jeep Not Cranking

Ok, I will preface this by saying I did search a bit but found nothing that specifically sounded like my issue. What I have is a 1994 XJ with a 2.5L and an AX5 manual. I hadn't driven the Jeep for a week and got in it to go for a spin. I forgot to take it out of gear prior to cranking it and it caused the vehicle to jump forward when it started and it died. After calling myself a dumb *****, I took it out of gear and attempted to restart. It cranked slowly like it had a dead battery so I turned the key off. I attempted to restart the vehicle and when I turned the key, I got the buzzer, lights, radio, but no cranking. Not even a click. So, I pulled my truck over to it to attempt a jump start. Hooked up the cables, attempted to start with same results (no cranking or clicking). It's not the battery because I checked it and it's in tip top shape (6 month old Optima Redtop). It's not the fuses, because I checked those and swapped the relays around too. What I suspect is I may have damaged some internal component when I left it in gear on the initial start. What I don't know is what the manual transmission's version of the NSS is called or where it's located on this vehicle. Any information would be helpful.

Try jumping the starter first. Take a piece of wire and put one side on the fat red wire's connector and the other side and put it on the small wire's connector. See what happens.

Okay, jumped the starter and got nothing. Push started it and it fired right up. So, bad starter. Now I have to wait until after the new year so I can get it fixed. Nothing drains your bank account faster than Christmas. Thanks for the help troubleshooting this issue.
