Hello,
Yesterday my jeep 92 xj 4.0 broke on the freeway.
Check engine light on. I saw that the 30 amp fuse of the engine control was fused. I have change it and now it works.
Does anybody know why this fuse has fused?
Would you check any part oh the car?
I have driven the car for some miles and runs ok but i am worried.
Thanks a lot
Pepe

I hate when my fuses fuse!
I had an issue with that a long time ago. I'd start with checking output voltage on the alternator. When some alternators go bad the voltage spikes. Fusing your fuse.

Could be a bunch of different things that caused the fuse to blow. You might want to check the alternator, as a precaution. Just for GP, though, go through your fuse box and buy a couple of every different size fuse to keep in your emergency tool kit. It would be a bummer to blow one in the middle of nowhere and not have a replacement.
