Turns out I didn't fix it, even though it runs a hell of a lot better than it did, my check engine light came back on today. I'm really hesitant to take it to a mechanic because I'm hella broke right now cuz I just bought the thing. The symptoms it's having right now is one of the belts is making a slight whine, it takes a tiny bit longer to start when the engine's cold, and when I turn it off I start hearing sounds like water dripping which I assume is something in the cooling system. The first two don't seem like very big problems but the last one seems like it could be an issue.

Just check your coolant level and make sure it's topped up and the temp gauge is reading good. Check the tension of the belt when you get a chance, and see if it's old and glazed over / weather cracked. I'd check that coolant, and then get the codes read or read them to find out what the ecu's saying. That's what my priority would be anyways. Too bad you're not around here, we've got a code reader right in the shop. Like they said autozone, or maybe there's an ignition sequence that'll blink the codes to you? Not sure, check out that ecu code post.

It appears that the ignition sequence goes as follows:
Turn the ignition to on, off, on, off, on...
Now wait until it starts blinking out the codes (a lot of chryslers do this)
