Default Jeep electrical hell

My son and I bought a wrecked 2000 cherokee. We have done all the body work on it, it looks and drive nice now. How ever there are some electrical issues I cannot seem to fix. The gauges and radio did not work. I fould that is I brought a hot wire from the power point plug (the plug by the cig lighter) to the constant hot wire of the radio, the radio and gauges began to work. My son is happy to leave it alone, but and how ever I am not. I have checked every fuse and relay I can find they are all good. I really want to fix this right. I never did get the front dome light to work and yes I changes the bulb. The rear dome light does work. Please help me

Only logic I see is if the only thing you changed was running a new hot would point to the pre existing hot being bad in some way. If you don't want it running off the power point you could always jump it into the kick panel fuse box

There are 2-fuses for the radio. One is shared with the underhood light, which has a tendency to fail and short out. I believe this is the constant power circuit. See if you have an underhood light, see if it works. If not there, see if the wires are shorted, if it is there, remove. Recheck the fuses, I do not recall which 2 they are,

Ok so I fixed that part of the problem. Water entered the cab via the attenna wire, this screwed the fuse box over 5 ways from Sunday. But now the dang horn will not quit blowing. I have removed the steering wheel, disconnected the clock spring and the horn conts to blow. The only way I can shut it up is to remove the relay. By the way this was a problem before I changed the fuse box.
